How to replace cache icons?

Hi,

How to replace cache icons in the list caches. I would like use OC icons instead GC.com icons in CacheWolf. I have copy OC icons to calaog symbols/ with name .png and numbers from readme.txt example 16.png - Traditional and I have in preference setup use <Symbols useOwnSymbols="true"/> but don't display my own icons

I think the readme.htm in symbols directory gives you the first answer!

Yes I hav read this file and prepare PNG file with size 16x16 with names from readme.htm for exmaple for traditional cache 16.png and this files PNG I have copy to dir symbols/ and in pref setup use custom symbols but CacheWolf ignore my files display GC.com icons

i just tried out on windows with the jar and with the exe version and it works.
are you on a linux system? png is lowercase?

the part for the change is GuiImageBroker.java, if want to take a look.

Yes, I try use on XPWindows and I have set of icons OC. Can you try oc icons:

If I am understand symbols/readme.htm, *png files I should copy to dir symbols/ ? not for exmpale symbols/oc ? because in setup CW in "options - more " I can only switch "use own
symbols"

Interesing but I don't have success :-( OK but I have add to set of OC icons with 32x32 PNG files with name xsize.png and put on our ftp server

Ok I don't know what happen but I have run again CW and now OC icons works
but I have find some problems with name of caches in symbols/readme.htm write:

18.png - Unknown

for this name type of cache we use

but in filter this icon display with cache name "Mystery" in OC we have name QUIZ with icon

What about add other names of cache types form OC ? for exmaple we have other types:

"Moving cache" and

"Podcast cache"

in CW internal Mysterie is called unknown. So we can change.
Adding additinal types must be discussed.

I have check on OC PL i OC DE where is most of OC caches / OC UK, OC SE are young OC sites

"Moving cache" about 130 caches
"Quiz cache" about 3900 caches
"Podcast cache" it is very young type ( 1 month ago we are add) where clue is stored in MP3 file - many people use Podcast cache outside GC.com (for exmaple http://www.podcacher.com ) and for this reason we add this cache to OC


We have plan add to OC XML interface some more information about OC caches:

- number of recommendatins for caches (current is only info in log), it is very useful information for OC caches

- list of GeoKrety like TB Gc.com (many pople use http://www.opencaching.org ) in cache

we have in OC XML attributes caches but I have see that import OC CW don't use this information. list of attributes defined on OC PL you can see add &attrlist=1
