Übrigens: Geocaching-Funktionalität: dagegen sehen die Garmins wirklich aus wie vorgestern. Es macht echt keinen Spass mit dem 60cx, erstens ist er zwar rattenschnell, aber auch etwas ungenau. und zweitens, was ein aufwand um caches auf den Garmin zu bekommen!
Beim exploristen einfach die gpx datei rüberschieben und los gehts.
und klobig ist das ding! Und dann wieder immer das doofe an die akkus denken. und noch ein paar andere Dinge mehr, jedenfalls mit ist der 600er lieber..... (aber jetzt bin ich off-topic)

wie "ungenau" ist denn der garmin-sirf3?
ich habe nämlich überlegt einen forerunner zum joggen und cachen zu holen.
wenn der jetzt "ungenauer" wie die alte 12kanal-technik ist, habe ich zwar empfang, aber der track stimmt nicht mit der topo überein.
dann kann ich mir auch einen alten forerunner holen.
ich glaube einen vergleich der koors zwischen 60cs und cx gabs noch nicht, die empfangsproblematik war wohl stets schlimmer.

Der Forerunner 205/305 ist kein Vergleich zum 201/301.
Ich bin im Winter mit dem 301 gelaufen, das ging so leidlich.
Aber mit dem Moment, als die Blätter rauskamen, wars aus mit dem Empfang im Wald, einfach aus! Auf der geraden Strecke gehts noch, aber im Wald ist Feierabend. Dann bekam ich Ende Mai den 305 aus USA (und den 301 zu gutem Kurs noch los) und das ist ein Unterschied!!!
Flott eingebucht, schnell geloggt und immer recht exakte Strecken auch unter ungünstigen Bedingungen.
Manko: Pace-Anzeige ist nicht besonders genau, bei seitlicher Abschattung wird der Pace immer langsamer, bis hin im Wald, wo die Pace-Anzeige fürn Arsch ist. Gesamtstrecke stimmt aber noch. Auf meiner kleinen Feierabendstrecke (12km) beträgt der Streu ca 100m (geschätzt), er schnibbelt im Track aber sichtlich Kurven ab und ist auch auf der Geraden manchmal etwas ungenau. Ebenso bemängeln andere die ungenauen Höheninformationen, obwohl ich finde, dass das noch geht.
Am 60cx stört mich einiges, er ist zwar rattenschnell, aber nicht besonders präzise, die Position tänzelt häufig unter schlechten Bedingungen: Bei Mehrwegeempfang hat er mehr Sats im Zugriff als der 600er: Das ist die schiere Rechenleistung der Korrelatoren. Aber wenns generell abgeschirmter wird (Blätterdach) und so, dann sind die beiden zumindestens gleichauf, Magellan scheint mehr vom HF-Teil zu verstehen. Ich habe auch den Eindruck - wie schon eben angedeutet - der SIRF III tänzelt um die Koordinate herum, der Explorist hat zwar noch etwas Bouncing Bee, aber dann hat er sehr genau die Koordinate gegrabbed.
Da auch die Geocaching-Funktionen beim 60cx nur rudimentär vorhanden sind und die Koordinateneingabe eigentlich nur bescheuert ist und das Ding mir zu klobig ist, habe ich ihn jetzt bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen zuhause gelassen.
