Tranquility Interest Survey "Germany Only Edition"

Actually the colours of the german flag are: Black, Red, GOLD!
Yellow is only used, because Gold cannot be printed.
This would give you the option to do the coin in Gold and use that as the "color".
All german flags, even the officially used, use yellow cloth; so IMHO also the use of yellow enamel for example on a BN coin will be OK, and almost all people will recognize it as a "German edition" instantly.

The middle in the back is the writing, and maybe, if possible in the middle in front the shape of our country.
As for the colours it would be usefull to see how it looks like inner circle =black, middle circle= red, outer circle= yellow.

Guido :D

Es geht doch hier um eine Tranquility und nicht um eine neue Coin Tstststststs

There are 4 rings for color on both sides of this coin.
Hm, four rings and three colours; what about 3 rings with one colour each, the fourth (perhaps the center) bare metal or two areas (outer two rings together and inner two rings together) with a colour each, third colour comes from the metal used?

But no matter which layout (also totally different) you choose, I'd get some of them.

Edit: after looking at the picture of the "Green Giant", i think you could use ring 1 in the first colour, ring 2 and 3 for the second colour and ring 4 for the third colour. But which metal looks best with black, red and gold enamel?

Sure it is OK to use yellow enamel (even more so, since gold is not my favorite metal).
But I just wanted to add this, since it gives an extra option when designing the coin.

Can someone send me (or post) a picture of the coin?
Preferably a Gold version (if there is one).
It is hard to find a (bigger) pic on the web and I do not have a TQ at home (yet ;). If I have a picture I can play around in Photoshop and make some suggestions...
Thanks in advance...

I would stick to the black nickel finish. That could look really great with the colored rings. I don't think that polished gold would be nice. One may have to use a foggy variant. And that does not fit to the coin.

My favs are: Front V2 and BackV1

I'm not sure if these variations would be possible to make.

both V1 are my faves

front v2: the yellow center is "too hard"
back v2: the red circle is... "too hard" - the two colour is better imho ;-)

The colors are spectacular however to pull off adding Black Enamel it must be a Chrome Coin for the metal. This would allow the details to show through.

We should put this up to a vote here.

Please post which front and back you like on this thread.

Bear in mind, this would be using a Silver (Chrome) metal.

If we were to use a Black Nickel having Black enamel would be a waste of time. In order to achieve the details I would just epoxy coat the coin so the Black metal and details would show through the transparency.

Yepp, I agree.
BN was just a try...

I like Front V3 and Back V1.
I like it when the red and yellow mingle in the "center ring"...
