The price per coin will be $8.00 Canadian – before shipping.

Shipping charges will be:
1-2 coins $2.50
3 0r more coin – 50 cents additional per coin

Team Myth 2006 - Quest for the Big 5


This is the personal coin of Team Myth from Leiderdorp, The Netherlands. It's one of the first Dutch geocoins.

The coin was minted for the 2006 geocache and safari holiday of Team Myth in South Africa. The goal of this trip is mentioned on the coin: The Quest for the Big 5. The Big 5 is a name hunters used to give to a group of five big African mammals: the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and black rhinoceros. The members of the group were chosen because of the difficulty hunting them, not their size. That's why the leopard is a member, but not the giraffe or hippopotamus.

The front of the coin shows one of the members of the Big Five on a background with the South African flag. The back of the coin shows the logo of Team Myth. This logo is also the icon on Geocaching.com.

The coin will be minted in the next few weeks. We expect to have it available in the last week of April. This coin also has an antique silver (only for trades) and an antique copper (only for caches in South Africa) edition, but only the gold edition will be sold.

There's a limit of 5 coins per order. Orders of more than 5 coins will be cancelled. Please, contact geocoins.nl before you order if you want to order a larger amount of coins, eg. for a coin club.
