Logging Guidelines from Groundspeak HQ, Community Support:

Technically, the guidelines don't specify that you must mark the log book yourself.
The guideline states: "Physical geocaches can be logged online as "Found" once the physical log has been signed. " It doesn't specify if the user has to log it themselves.
Thus yes, if a group of cachers find a cache and a user signs the names for all, this is allowed.

Das macht ja auch SInn. Das Stichwort ist "group of cachers" ... also eine Gruppe, die gemeinsam Cachen geht, und bei jedem Fund reicht es, wenn einer alle Namen einträgt. Es gibt auch irgendein Statement von GS, dass auch "Team-Namen" in solchen Fällen ok sind, solange aus den Logs klar hervorgeht, welche Cacher an dem Tag zum "Team" gehört haben.

Was GS damit aber nicht gutheißt, ist das Eintragen von Leuten, die beim Fund gar nicht vor Ort anwesend sind. Dass das trotzdem gemacht wird, und man es i.a. als Außenstehender nicht erkennen kann, steht auf einem anderen Blatt.

This is more on the honor system. Some cachers may be ethically ok with claiming the find if they see the cache and someone else logs their name while in a group caching. Others aren't.

We aren't the logging police so we don't govern behavior to this extent. It takes some of the fun out of geocaching if the cache owner is deleting logs over this miniscule issue and may not be as much fun for cache owners either.

If it seems the cacher was not at the location and found the cache, it would be your responsibility to determine whether they can claim the find.

Hierzu:

heißt es lapidar:

Was bedeutet: GS kümmert sich nicht um sowas, weil sie keine "police" sein wollen. Das soll der Owner selber entscheiden.

Das sind dann z.B. die "berüchtigten" Powertrails. Ich finde die auch "seltsam", aber jeder wie er möchte ...

Als "A group of cachers....." verstehe ich aber keine Arbeitsteilung ala "ihr macht 1-10, ich mach 11-20" und wir schreiben uns gegenseitig rein......"

Ich bekenne mich dieser Arbeitsteilung schuldig:
Eine Powertrail-Radrunde bei der die Dosen ziemlich langweilig waren. Da wir keine Lust hatten alle knapp 200m fuer einen Petling von den Raedern abzusteigen, haben wir uns aufgeteilt: Das jeweils vordere Team suchte die Dose, das hintere ueberholte das erste Team und suchte die naechste Dose.
Bei Bedarf konnte so das suchende Team das hintere Team auf etwas Interessantes aufmerksam machen. Das kam aber leider (!) sehr selten vor.
Geloggt haben dann alle alle Dosen.

Da viele Powertrails eine Einbahnstraße sind, mache ich immer nur jede zweite Dose. Ob mit Rad oder zu Fuß und hab so etwas für den Rückweg.
